Our original Applicators were made from premium brass — chosen for its strength, antimicrobial properties, and staying power. Over time, brass naturally oxidises, especially when exposed to moisture. So if you notice a few marks appearing on the surface, don’t panic — it’s completely normal and doesn’t affect performance in the slightest.

The fix? Surprisingly simple. A quick polish with bicarb and lemon juice — or even tomato ketchup (yes, really) — will have it gleaming again. Just rub it in with a cloth, rinse well, and you’re good to go.

We’ve since updated our Applicators to a sleek new finish — stainless steel plated with titanium. It’s just as high-performing, but with less chance of oxidation and no need for polishing. Whichever one you have, give it a rinse after each use and dry thoroughly — it’ll keep your Applicator looking stage-ready.
