You might have one of our original Applicators, which was made from brass. Like all brass products, it naturally oxidises over time — a perfectly normal reaction that can sometimes leave a faint mark on your skin.

The good news? It’s easy to clean. Just give it a little polish with vinegar, ketchup or your favourite brass cleaner now and then, and it’ll be gleaming again in no time.

To keep your Applicator performing at its best, we also recommend rinsing it with water after every use and drying it thoroughly — a quick step that helps slow oxidation.

We chose brass for its longevity and its excellent antimicrobial properties, but our new generation of Applicators is now crafted in stainless steel and titanium for a sleeker finish.
