How do I register on Republic?
Before you invest, you have to register on Republic. You’ll be asked a series of questions about how investments work to make sure you really understand what investing means. Don’t be alarmed, there’s always google to help educate you on some things!
Do I get dividends by investing in AKT?
Start ups don't usually offer dividends to shareholders. Instead, profits are typically reinvested to support the company's growth. Investors generally realise a return if the company is acquired, goes public, or another liquidity event occurs.
Can I get my money back?
Investing is usually a long term strategy. You can only sell your shares only if there’s a buyer. On Republic’s ‘secondary market’ you may be able to offer your shares for sale once the shares convert, although there is not a guarantee of a buyer.
I invested before, can I invest again?
Yes, absolutely! If you've invested in AKT before, you can invest again in this round. Many existing investors choose to increase their investment as the business continues to grow and reaches new milestones.
When does the campaign close?
The campaign is scheduled to close on September 28th. However, we reserve the right to close the campaign at any time.
Can I increase my investment after I've invested?
Only while the campaign is live. Once it’s close there won’t be an opportunity to adjust your investment.
What happens after I invest?
Once you complete your investment, you’ll receive confirmation from Republic and your funds will be collected and held securely in escrow while the campaign remains open. If the round completes successfully, Republic will carry out its final legal an
